Woman Reunites With Ring After It Slipped Off in Dumpster

Melanie Harper’s wedding ring accidentally slipped off her finger and into a stuffed recycling dumpster while tossing some papers. After trying to find it herself for quite some time, she eventually gave up and emailed the Greenville, South Carolina, Department of Public Works to see if they could help find it. The next morning, the crew got to work and dumped out everything from the bin. Sure enough, they struck gold — and diamonds. Inside Edition Digital’s Leigh Scheps has the story.
