These businesses are celebrating the repurposing old products into something new. The trend of upcycling food involves restaurants selecting "ugly" produce or irregular cuts of meat. “It’s not actually bad. I think so many people think about dumpster diving or using rotten ingredients, but we have this wildly over-productive food system that accounts for a ton of waste,” Kayla Abe, co-owner of Shuggie's Trash Pie, told CBS News.
