11-Year-Old Boy Survives 4 Days in 80-Foot Tunnel With a Snake and Scorpion

Authorities in central India spent more than four days trying to save an 11-year-old’s life. A boy named Rahul fell down a boarded up borewell tunnel. More than 30 rescuers worked through the night to get the boy out. Time was of the essence because borewell tunnels typically have low oxygen levels, making survival rare. In the end, it took 102 hours, but Rahul is alive and has been reunited with his family.
