12-Year-Old Colorado Boy Dies After Trying ‘Blackout Challenge’

A 12-year-old boy has died more than two weeks after taking part in a social media challenge. Joshua Haileyesus was found unconscious in the bathroom of his family’s Aurora, Colorado home by his brother. His father says Joshua appears to have tried to choke himself with a shoelace in what may have been an attempt at trying Blackout Challenge, where people try to hold their breath for as long as they can.
