13-Year-Old’s Mother Is Killed Before She Was Able to Donate Her Kidney to Son

Kincaid Eaker lost more than his family when his mother, Audra, was shot and killed by her estranged husband, Darrell Eaker, in 2016. He also lost the chance to undergo a transplant that would save his life. Kincaid was born with a degenerative kidney disease, and, after learning she was a perfect match, his mom had planned to donate one of her kidneys to him. Now, friends and family have launched GoFundMe and Facebook campaigns to find a match for the boy and raise money for his treatment.
