18-Year-Old Volunteer Firefighter Dies in Line of Duty

An 18-year-old Forest Ranger died in the line of duty. Dariel Vasquez was helping put out wildfires in Upstate New York when a tree fell on him. "His bravery and selflessness in those last moments were a reflection of his pure heart and unwavering commitment to others," his family said in a post on a GoFundMe campaign post in his memory.
