18-Year-Old Soldier Killed in Korean War 71 Years Ago Is Finally Laid to Rest
The remains of an 18-year-old soldier, Army Corporal Richard Henderson, killed in Korea in 1950, have been returned to American soil and finally identified. In August 2018, the North Korean government returned 55 transport cases, reportedly containing the remains of U.S. servicemembers killed in Korea. Scientists from Defense POW MIA Accounting Agency identified Henderson’s remains with anthropological analysis and circumstantial evidence.
