    200-Year-Old Music Written by Chopin Found in Library

    A curator at the Morgan Library & Museum in New York discovered an untitled and unsigned piece of sheet music that is now being credited to European composer Frederic Chopin. Frederic Chopin was a maestro of the 18th century Romantic era. The incomplete sheet music became part of the library's collection in 2019. As the music was unsigned, the library has worked with experts to try to authenticate it.
