    21 People Rescued After Being Stuck in Tramway Car for Almost 24 Hours

    During what was the last ride of the night, two Sandia Peak Tramway cars became stuck, stranding 21 people in the sky. The passengers needed to be rescued in order to exit the cars safely. Sandia Peak General Manager Michael Donovan tells KRQE that ice and wind caused two tram cars to become stuck near Tower 2 around 10 p.m. Friday.
