24-Year-Old Latin Trap Artist Kevin Fret Shot to Death in Puerto Rico

Kevin Fret, a popular recording artist from Puerto Rico, was shot and killed in San Juan. Fret was regarded as the first openly gay artist in the Latin trap scene. He was a rising star best known for his debut single, "Soy Asi." Fret was riding a motorbike early Thursday morning in San Juan's Santurce neighborhood when he was shot 8 times. Puerto Rico-based paper El Nuevo Dia reported that Fret was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
