41 Miners Rescued After 17 Days in Collapsed Tunnel in India
Forty-one miners in India were successfully rescued after being trapped in a collapsed tunnel for 17 days. Officials say a landslide triggered the tunnel collapse, leaving these low-wage workers under 200 feet of rubble. Many agencies coordinated to get them out and rescuers were able to dig a passageway through to the miners. Once complete, officials say it took about an hour for all of the survivors to crawl out to freedom. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
