450 Thanksgiving Meals Handed Out to Veterans in Iowa
Four-hundred-and-fifty Thanksgiving meal boxes were handed out to veterans in the Polk County, Iowa, area this year. The tradition began 12 years ago and is still standing strong. Volunteers took time out from their Sunday morning to bring the food to veterans in need. Next year, organizers hope to distribute 600 meal kits.
