The power of social media made Scott Kahn’s paintings go from less than $5,000 to over $1 million. It’s something he never expected to happen at the age of 76. For decades his work went unnoticed. He credits his recent success to another artist, Matthew Wong. “He bought a painting of mine. And he put it on his Instagram feed. And that's what triggered this enormous interest in my work,” he told CBS News.
