    Duane Sherman wasn't looking forward to celebrating his 96th birthday. The World War II Navy veteran was feeling lonely, especially when he checked the mail. So his daughter hatched a plan. She put out a call on Facebook for people to send her dad birthday cards. She had no idea how special strangers would make him feel until 50,000 cards poured in.
