Kremlin Demands Secret Funeral for Navalny, Family Says

Alexei Navalny’s mother says she is being “threatened” into holding a secret funeral for her son. In a new video posted to the late Russian opposition leader’s YouTube channel, Lyudmila Navalnaya says after days of pleading to see her son’s body, she was finally granted access on Feb 21. The family says they saw a death certificate that stated 47-year-old Navalny died of natural causes. The death of the outspoken critic of Putin and the Kremlin has sparked outrage and concern around the world.
