American Idol Runner-Up Dies at 23

“American Idol” runner-up Willie Spence has died at the age of 23. Authorities say Spence was killed after an accident on an interstate in Tennessee. According to Tennessee Highway Patrol, the young singer was driving home to Georgia when his vehicle swerved off and collided with a tractor-trailer that stopped on the shoulder. “American Idol” tweeted: “We are devastated. He was a true talent who lit up every room he entered and will be deeply missed.”
