Arizona’s Rainbow Ryders Seeks Former Airline Crews to Pilot Hot Air Balloons

Rainbow Ryders, a hot air balloon ride company based in the Southwest, says it’s looking for balloon crews. Among the most desired applicants are furloughed airline pilots. The airline industry has lost tens of thousands of jobs in the past year, thanks to the economic and travel slowdown caused by the pandemic. Rainbow Ryders CEO Scott Appleman explained to KPHO, “Existing aviators, they understand the rules and regs that apply above the ground.”
