At Least 73 Dead in Johannesburg Apartment Blaze

A fire which broke out in Johannesburg is reported to have killed 73 people and left 43 injured, officials said on Thursday, Aug. 31. Eyewitness video shot from a nearby building shows smoke rising over the rooftops of the city in the wee hours of the morning, as the building is engulfed by flames in one of South Africa's worst such tragedies in living memory.
