Atlanta Spa Owner Emily Tan Killed 1 Day Before She Turned 50

Emily Tan was the owner of Young’s Asian Massage, the first shooting site in the spree that left eight dead. She was killed the day before her 50th birthday, and her grieving daughter attended a vigil at the site late Thursday night. Asian community leaders say we are at a "crisis point" with attacks on Asian Americans. Six of the eight victims of the Georgia shootings were Asian American women. Katarina Buenviaje of Sacramento started a self defense class on Zoom called Kix after the shootings.
