Bananas Could Go Extinct Thanks to Deadly Fungus
August 21, 2019
Are bananas going extinct? That’s the fear after a fungus deadly to bananas has spread to South America. It penetrates bananas through the soil, and it cannot be killed with traditional chemicals. Efforts are underway to protect the South American crop, but it may mean a price hike for the popular fruit.
