Body of American Killed by Tribe Should Be Left on Island, Advocates Say
Weeks after American John Chau was believed to have been killed by a tribe on North Sentinel Island in the Bay of Bengal, his body remains there. Now advocates for the tribe are insisting his body be left alone. Survival International says isolated tribes don't have the immunity from diseases that outsiders carry and any attempt to remove Chau’s body could be fatal for the North Sentinelese people.
