‘Oil Fountain’ Sounds Climate Alarm

British artist Luke Jerram has fashioned a fountain that flows with used engine oil. Jerram told reporters that “Oil Fountain” was made “to highlight the fact that society and our lives are completely dependent on oil.” The fossil fuel fountain is decorated with images of species that have gone extinct because of humans. Jerram wants “Oil Fountain” to spark conversation. “I’m hoping it makes people think about the society we have and the society we’d like in the future,” he said.
