College Student Gets COVID-19 on Her 1st Night Back Out in Texas

COVID-19 infection among young people is on a steep rise as bars and clubs reopen after being closed for months. College student caught the virus on a night out with friends in San Marcos, Texas. She says she hadn’t gone out since the bars reopened, and said “the one night I did, I contracted the virus.” The mortality rate has seemingly dropped amid precautions being taken by the public and new scientific understanding of the virus, but an estimated 92% of the population is still at risk.
