    Denver Cops May Give Gift Cards Instead of Traffic Tickets for Minor Car Repairs

    Brake lights not working get you a traffic citation, but in Colorado that might not be the case. The Denver Police Department teamed up with Advance Auto Parts to help people out when they didn’t mean to do anything wrong! The store gave officers 100 gift cards, valued at $25 each, for “fix-it” violations and traffic education. Police have made it clear that this program is limited and available only to those who are stopped for “minor vehicle safety issues.”
