Destructive Invasive Species Hammerhead Flatworm Is Spreading
The hammerhead flatworm is an invasive species that’s spreading across several states. Unlike earthworms, hammerhead flatworms don’t help the soil. Quite the opposite, Ashley Morgan-Olvera of the Texas Invasive Species Institute told Inside Edition Digital. “It harms our environment by killing earthworms, which can cause money problems because our crops, our gardens, our forests depend on earthworms to survive,” she said.
