Donald Trump has named his vice presidential pick: Ohio Senator J.D. Vance. Trump posted that Vance was "The person best suited to assume the position of Vice President." Vance had been a critic of Trump, but he changed his tune in 2021, while gearing up for his run for the Senate. Meanwhile, security is being heightened at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, in the wake of the assassination attempt on Trump.
