Double Murder Suspect Gives Fiery Opening Statement at Trial as His Own Defense

On June 14, the double murder trial of Ronnie Oneal III began with investigators and Oneal, filling in as his own defense attorney, giving opening statements to the jury. Oneal is accused of killing his girlfriend, 33-year-old Kenyatta Barron, and daughter, 9-year-old Ron'Niveya Oneal, inside their Riverview home in March of 2018. He is now facing two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder.
