Ebola Outbreak in Congo Is Defeated as Coronavirus Sweeps Through World

Although countries around the world continue to struggle with the coronavirus, the World Health Organization announced some good news: the recent Ebola outbreak in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo is over. It was the second deadliest outbreak of that virus, killing over 2,000 people. Dr. Matshidiso Moeti of the WHO said, “With solidarity and science and courage and commitment, even the most challenging epidemics can be controlled.”
