Empty Strollers Memorialize Children Killed in Russian Invasion of Ukraine
March 18, 2022
People in Lviv, Ukraine, put out 109 empty strollers in a city square this week. Some of the strollers had teddy bears. Each of the empty prams represents a child killed in the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Meanwhile, black smoke was seen pouring from Lviv, which was rocked by explosions from Russian missile attacks. The UN estimates that at least 780 Ukrainian civilians have been killed in the Russian invasion that began in late February.
