Eric Garner's Mom on His Legacy and Movement Reignited by George Floyd's Killing

The killing of George Floyd evoked a sense of déjà vu for many, but no one more than the mother of Eric Garner, Gwen Carr. The mother of three had been here before: hearing of the death of a Black man whose last words included the plea, “I can’t breathe.” As part of Inside Edition Digital's The Issue, Carr discusses how life has been for her since the death of her son at the hands of police six years ago, and talks about all she has done to advocate for change.
