US Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor Dead at 93

Sandra Day O’Connor, the first woman to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court, has died. O'Connor was appointed to the Supreme Court by then President Ronald Reagan in 1981. O’Connor paved the way for more women to follow her footsteps. After 24 years at the highest court in the land, O’Connor retired in 2006, devoting the rest of her life to teaching young people about government. Sandra Day O’Connor was 93 years old.
