Florida Deputy Shoots Dog and Fellow Officer

A Florida sheriff’s deputy shot a dog and fellow officer while executing a search warrant on a home. When entering the home, a dog charged at one of the deputies, according to the sheriff’s office statement. The sheriff’s department says the dog “attacked” a deputy, prompting another to shoot the pit bull. The bullet unexpectedly went through the family pet and hit another deputy. That officer was sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
