Former Olympian Says Using Self-Checkout Ruined Her Life
A former Olympian says her life has been turned upside down after she was falsely accused of shoplifting at the self-checkout. Meaggan Pettipiece played softball for Canada in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney. She mistakenly failed to properly scan a ham and a bunch of asparagus. She was charged with shoplifting. She says she felt she had to step down from her coaching job following headlines about her arrest to save her school from embarrassment. Inside Edition's Ann Mercogliano has more.
