How Did a Rare Duck Native to Japan Wind Up in New York City?
November 1, 2018
A Mandarin duck, usually found in Japan and China, has moved to New York. People are flocking to Central Park to catch a glimpse of the bird, which is 7,000 miles away from East Asia. One photographer admitted to taking more than 200 photos. The bird is breathtakingly beautiful, with a hot pink bill and multicolored feathers. The city does not plan on removing the bird from Central Park unless it appears to be sick or in danger.
