    How to Properly Secure a Beach Umbrella So It Won’t Blow Away

    Rescuers worked to help a woman who was impaled by a beach umbrella in a horrific freak accident in New Jersey Monday afternoon. The aluminum shaft of the umbrella was driven by a gust of wind. It speared the ankle of a 67-year-old woman who was enjoying the beach at Seaside Heights, New Jersey. It went clean through. Lieutenant Lucas Bocanegra of Miami Beach Ocean Rescue says he sees flying umbrellas just about every day. He showed Inside Edition how to secure a beach umbrella in the sand.
