In 2010, Maddox Flynn and his family flew from Canada to America so the toddler’s life could be saved. The little boy was two when he underwent various surgeries to remove a facial tumor that he had since birth. Maddox was born with lymphatic cystic hygroma, which causes swollen bulges beneath the skin. Dr. Milton Waner of New York heard Maddox’s story and said he could save the boy. Inside Edition went into the operating room as Maddox got his life-changing surgery.
