    Millions May Go Without Drinking Water if Glaciers Melt

    A study, published in the journal Nature, says climate change is causing the world’s glaciers to melt five times faster than in the 1960s. Switzerland set a sad record last year by losing 6 percent of its glaciers. Germany is down to just four glaciers after one melted this summer. Experts believe if greenhouse emissions keep rising, 90% of the glaciers in the Alps will be gone by the end of this century. Unless more is done to arrest climate change, they could soon be just a memory.
