Israeli Singer Eden Golan Advances to Eurovision Final After Protests
Boos and catcalls rang out as an Israeli singer was targeted on stage at “Eurovision.” Thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters took to the streets in Sweden, demanding Israeli singer Eden Golan be tossed out of the contest. Despite the chorus of protests, Golan was voted into the final round of the competition. Many of the votes apparently came from the U.S. as an expression of solidarity with Israel.
