As first lady Jill Biden celebrated LSU's women's basketball victory, she suggested both the champions and the losing team should come to the White House. Her comments sparked immediate backlash. In response to the first lady's remark, LSU player Angel Reese tweeted “A joke.” Now, she's walking back on the concept of inviting the losing team as well as the winners. Her press secretary says "She [Jill Biden] looks forward to celebrating the LSU Tigers on their championship win at the White House."
