John McCain’s 106-Year-Old Mother Makes Sign of the Cross Over His Casket

Roberta McCain paid her respects to her beloved son, the late Arizona Sen. John McCain, as he was honored at the U.S. Capitol Rotunda. The 106-year-old held the hand of her distraught granddaughter, Meghan, during much of the service. Meghan sobbed and said, “I love you,” to her father’s casket, which was covered with an American flag. The rotunda was filled with the nation’s top leadership from both parties who were there to pay their respects.
