Jury Awards Students $1M in Damages After School Expelled Them for 'Blackface'

A photo showing teens with dark green acne medication on went viral during the Black Lives Matter protests in 2020. It may seem as if the teens were wearing blackface makeup. They tried to explain it was for acne but officials at their school said the photo image was a "bad optic." A day later, they were given a choice to leave or be expelled. The families sued the California school and were awarded $1 million in damages. Inside Edition’s Jim Moret has more.
