Kayleigh McEnany Dodges John Roberts’ Call to Condemn White Supremacists

Press Secretary Kayliegh McEnany’s first briefing since the presidential debate went off the rails after she was pressed by reporters to denounce white supremacy outright, after the President’s comments about the Proud Boys, a far-right hate group, at the debate. Fox News reporter John Roberts asked for “a definitive and declarative statement without ambiguity or deflection” from McEnany, and grew frustrated when a flustered McEnany began to rattle off references to Trump’s view on the KKK.
