Nevada Politician Accused of Journalist’s Murder Takes Stand

A former elected city official is accused of murdering a newspaper reporter. Journalist Jeff German was found stabbed to death outside his home in Las Vegas in 2022. Cops say five days later they arrested the former public administrator of Las Vegas, Robert Telles. He was charged with assassinating the reporter in retaliation for a series of investigative articles written about him in the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Telles has taken the stand in his own defense at his murder trial testifying that he did not kill German.
