Meet the Pilot Who Stopped a Plane From Crashing and Other Heroes

Inside Edition's series premiere in January 1989 brought you the Usher siblings. Brian Usher, then 7, spoke about how he saved his sister, Beth, after she fell off a see-saw. It turned out the little girl had an undiagnosed brain tumor. Two decades later, in January 2009, Inside Edition staff watched from our New York newsroom as a passenger airplane flew low and landed on the Hudson River. We'd later learn pilot Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger was responsible for the safe landing.
