Nicolae Miu Sentenced to 20 Years for Apple River Stabbings

A 54-year-old Minnesota man was sentenced to 20 years in the stabbing attack on tourists tubing on a popular river. Nicolae Miu ended up stabbing five people. Isaac Schuman was killed in the confrontation, which the defendant says was triggered when he was looking for his lost cellphone and was taunted by the teens. Miu claims he acted in self-defense but the jury found him guilty of reckless homicide. At his sentencing, Miu choked up as he apologized.
