Dozens Rescued in Risky Operation in Ecuador

The municipality of Quito shut down a cable car on Friday, after 27 people were trapped in the gondolas for more than 11 hours. The passengers were rescued in a risky maneuver by police and firefighters. There were no reports of injuries or casualties. After an apparent power failure, the system was stopped on Thursday afternoon, but the rescue alert was not triggered until dusk. Inside Edition Digita’s Stephanie Officer has more.
