Mystery After Arizona Woman in Vegetative State for Over 10 Years Gives Birth

Police are investigating possible sexual abuse behind the walls of an Arizona nursing facility after a woman in a vegetative state for more than a decade gave birth. The victim, who suffered a near-drowning incident years ago, was living at the Hacienda Healthcare in Phoenix when she recently and unexpectedly welcomed a healthy baby boy. "Our patients' and clients' health and safety is our No. 1 priority and we always cooperate, when asked by any agency, in an open and transparent way," a spokesperson for the facility said.
