National Guardsmen Forced to Sleep in Parking Garage With Overflowing Porta Potty

There’s outrage today that the National Guard soldiers protecting the Capitol were forced to sleep in a parking garage. Capitol Police ordered hundreds of National Guard troops to sleep in the parking lot beneath a federal court building, where one portable toilet used by soldiers was overflowing onto the sidewalk. After complaints from lawmakers on both sides of the aisle, soldiers were allowed to return to the Capitol. Coronavirus is also raging among soldiers who stay cramped together.
