New York 17-Year-Old Discovers a Brand New Planet 1300 Light Years Away
January 11, 2020
A New York teen did something pretty out of this world: he discovered a new planet while interning with NASA. Wolf Cukier, 17, discovered a planet that is 1,300 light years away and seven times larger than Earth. Cukier is a senior at Scarsdale High School in New York, and while he expected his internship to be exciting, he had no idea it would be this exciting. Wolf's planet has officially been named TOI 1388 b, but the teen has a catchier suggestion: Wolftopia.
