Nick Cordero’s Wife on Trump’s COVID-19 Comments: ‘It Did Dominate Our Lives’
In a video filmed at the White House after returning from Walter Reed Medical Center, President Trump urged Americans, “don’t let [coronavirus] dominate you, don’t be afraid of it.” The remarks rubbed many the wrong way, especially given Trump’s lack of condolences to the many people who have lost loved ones since the pandemic began. The wife of Nick Cordero, the Broadway star who battled COVID-19 for months before succumbing to the virus, found it insensitive. “Have some empathy,” she said.
